Sustainability

Our Vision

Disrupting for sustainability, as a financial corporate who aims to leave an impact in our society, we envision a future of innovative change that fosters lasting positive impact, economic viability, social equity, and environmental responsibility.
We lead the way in challenging norms, embracing technology, and creating new paradigms to create a harmonious world where businesses, communities, and ecosystems thrive together.

Our Goals

Since the establishment of Beltone's Sustainability Department, our aim has been to remain committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a specific focus on three main goals:

  • Our focus lies in promoting Decent Work and Economic Growth, as we recognize the influential role it plays in enhancing our reputation and fostering employee loyalty. To achieve this, we provide greater flexibility to our workforce, acknowledging the direct impact it has on productivity and, consequently, economic growth.

  • Recognizing the urgency of the climate change challenge, we embrace our responsibility in addressing it. Our strategic emphasis lies in fostering sustainability awareness internally and implementing initiatives that generate a positive impact on the environment and climate.

  • We firmly believe that collaborative efforts surpass expectations, driving us to actively seek partnerships with organizations that share our vision for a more sustainable future.

Signatory with UN Women – The Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs)
Beltone has proudly been a signatory of UN Women - The Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) since 2022. As an organization, Beltone is deeply committed to upholding the seven principles of WEPs, which encompass various crucial aspects of corporate responsibility. These principles include: High-Level Corporate Leadership, Employee Health, Well-Being and Safety, Education and training for career advancement, Enterprise development, supply chain and marketing practices, Community initiatives and advocacy, Measurement and Reporting.

1- Healthcare session (Breast Cancer Awareness Session)

Beltone has organized a dedicated awareness session in collaboration with the Bahya Foundation, aimed at empowering and educating our female employees about breast cancer and its early detection. A total of 89 participants attended this impactful session. The session provided valuable insights into the importance of regular screenings and self-examinations. By fostering knowledge and understanding, we aim to empower our female staff to take proactive steps towards their own health and well-being.

2- Establishment of the Health and Safety Committee

We have established our health and safety committee to monitor and report on our health and safety performance and continuously seek to improve it.

3- Inclusion Training

Beltone has successfully implemented a comprehensive training program for all Beltone employees on effectively engaging and collaborating with colleagues with Down syndrome. This training initiative aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of Down syndrome, providing employees with the necessary knowledge and skills to create an inclusive and supportive work environment.

Inclusion

1- Train to Sustain

In partnership with the Wayana Foundation, Beltone proudly launched the Train to Sustain Initiative, a transformative program designed to train and employ nine individuals with Down syndrome. As part of our commitment to empowering people of all abilities in the workplace, this initiative equips candidates with the necessary tools for success in the corporate world. To further bolster this program and extend support to individuals with disabilities, we are planning to organize an employment fair. This event will provide trained individuals with disabilities an opportunity to showcase their abilities to various companies. By promoting equal opportunities for professional success, the employment fair not only benefits the individuals but also fosters workforce diversity, enhancing the overall skills of the labor force.

Save The planet!

1-TrashTrack

We prioritize waste management as a crucial aspect of our commitment to sustainability, through different initiatives such as comprehensive recycling programs. We actively work towards reducing waste generation and conserving valuable resources.

  • In collaboration with Ertekaa, a waste management company, we have launched an initiative to establish a comprehensive waste management program. This program is designed to prioritize the collection and appropriate disposal of our waste.

  • As part of the program, Ertekaa will provide us with a monthly report, offering valuable insights into the quantity of waste generated. This report will aid in our waste reduction efforts by identifying recyclable and non-recyclable materials, allowing us to optimize our recycling practices.

  • Our first waste management report revealed that over 70% is recyclable, marking a significant success for our initiative. As we've strategically positioned segregated recycling bins on every floor to foster responsible waste management. . Furthermore, we've educated the office boys and cleaners about the crucial role of these segregated bins. We've instructed them on encouraging employees in the dining area to separate their waste into categories such as organic, plastic, cans, and paper.

2- Go Green

In pursuit of our unwavering dedication to the UN SDGs, Beltone has formed a partnership with Bekia waste management company in 2023 to responsibly handle our wastepaper. This collaboration serves a dual purpose: promoting sustainable practices within our organization and making a meaningful impact on society. As we venture into 2024, we continue our collaboration with Bekia. Through this ongoing partnership, we not only contribute to environmental sustainability but also generate proceeds that will be donated to esteemed charitable organizations in the name of all Beltone employees.

3- Graphene

We partnered with Graphene to launch a recycling initiative for all Beltone's old advertising materials. Under this collaboration, Graphene is responsible for recycling these materials and transforming them into up-cycled cardholders and folders. Notably, this project also incorporates a training program for marginalized women, empowering them with the skills to create these up-cycled products. Ultimately, the up-cycled items are distributed among 350 employees, promoting sustainability, and supporting social empowerment initiatives within our organization.

4- Electronic Business Cards

In our dedication to sustainability, we have made the switch from traditional printed business cards, which are more than 750 boxes a year, to electronic business cards. This initiative highlights the environmental benefits of this transition, emphasizing our commitment to reducing paper waste. Furthermore, this transition plays a crucial role in minimizing our carbon footprint as it eliminates the environmental impacts associated with the production and transportation of physical business cards.
